Welcome!
Righto,

After doing a little bit of research I found that there isn't a BMW specific Atlanta based forum. There are a few sub-categories on some well respected forums but nothing to make your own. So I went ahead and created atlBimmer.com.

It should be a nice place for anyone with an interest in BMW's to hang out, talk mods, maintenance, organise meets and just pass the day while you're doing other things. I know from experience that there is quite a strong BMW community in Georgia but most groups seem to exist in small pockets without a central place to gather. My aim is to change that and have a place where everyone can meet up and have a good time.

Hopefully it'll be the start of something special. So come on by, sign up and maybe post a little bit and get in on the foundations! You'll be able to brag about your low member number in the future

I hope this isn't treading on bimmerforums feet. I don't mean to cause any problems, just want to offer up a new resource for the people!

Cheers,

-Jack

Me too, sub forums are cool and all but it's always nice to have your own place. Smile

RE: Welcome!
I have received a lot of help on BFC, and made a few friends there as well. However, It seems to have started being taken over by very opinionated kids that aren't willing to help anyone. They just want to know how do I go fast and beat the Honda's. The biggest reply I see is " Why didn't you do a search " and I do understand this. But sometimes people are new, or searching doesn't show up the exact answer to your question. I have also noticed a wave of "your an idiot" when new people post their car pics or ask advice on mods. Sad. No wonder people say BMW owners are jerks, A lot of them are. Forums are to help other enthusiasts with advice on problems among other things. Keep this in mind . Personally I am glad to have a new alternative to the other forums based locally. I thought about doing this myself. Good Luck with the new venture.

M3 Front and rear bumper
Z3 Wheels
Too much other to list Smile

RE: Welcome!
Welcome Doonbug, you sound pretty level headed and have hit the nail on the head for most larger established forums. I try my best to keep the atmosphere friendly for everyone. Be sure to post up a little about yourself over here mate:

FYI ClubBimmer.com is an Atl-based BMW forum, but it has pretty much fizzled out unfortunately.

RE: Welcome!
That's a shame, I guess it's fizzled out to a point that I couldn't even find it when Jesse and I were talking about starting this place.
