Introduce yourself!
Hey there everyone,

First off, welcome to atlbimmer.com! Hopefully this is the start of something big. Let's get this started with a nice thread where we can let people know a little about ourselves.

I'll start, my name is Jack and I don't actually have a BMW! Which may seem odd for the owner of such a place, but I own a 1996 Miata that's supercharged. I like most things automotive and would love to own a bimmer some day. I started this place in much the same way I started my more established project, mx5atlanta.com. I noticed there isn't a specific place for Atlanta based enthusiasts so here it is.

There is one BMW in the family, and that's my dad's M Roadster which is an absolute blast to drive.

Well here's a picture of my car,

Post up a little bit about yourself, and once again, welcome!

-Jack

RE: Introduce yourself!
My name is Neil, I drive an 84 325e, which in the next two weeks will have a m50 with 3.2 cams, transmission as well from an e36, and dinan chip installed...i've been waiting to do this swap for a while now. I have had this car for a year now, and is still my favorite vehicle I've bought. I am planning on going to school to work on ecu mapping in the very near future

RE: Introduce yourself!
Hello!

My name is Laurabeth, I'm 20 years old and live on the south side of Atlanta.
I actually wandered over from Jack's other forum, mx5atlanta.com

While I don't currently own a BMW, I've been on the search for a clean e21 to have as a daily.

This is my current car, a 2005 Mazdaspeed Miata with a couple of things done to it.

Of course the only good picture I can find of my car, I'm not the one driving it! Sad

I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you take a seat at the table. Is there any reason you would like to share with us about why you've shown up naked?

RE: Introduce yourself!
Hey, everyone.
I've got a 1996 328iC. So far I have:
Ceramic brake pads & Bav Auto discs
Upgraded brass caliper bushing inserts
Debaffled stock airbox
Bilstein sport shocks and struts
Half-assed fan delete mod

In a couple weekends, (when I have some money...) I'll install stainless steel braided brake hoses, CDV delete and flush the whole system,
K&N Apollo closed cold air intake system, and that's about it.

It took me about two years, but now I really don't like convertibles. I'll admit, I don't have a prime example, (and I'm sure the prime examples are excellent) but I'd much rather go with a 96-98 328i sedan. I'm tired of lugging around the extra weight associated with having a convertible along with the reduced chassis rigidity. The seats are a pain in the ass to fold forward to get people and stuff in the back, the automatic roof mechanism doesn't work, and the roof has a small water leak in the rain that drips right down onto my left leg... I'd be much happier in the lighter, stiffer, more practical sedan. My plans for the 328 are multiple suspension upgrades, S52 swap, and possibly forced induction... but I'll likely stay NA. Here are some pics.

Have not been to many autocrosses. I was at the second to last event in a STU STi. I have sold my 325is and am picking up a 328i.
